Deja checo

It is rare to encounter grammatical constructions not described in textbooks. Here's a useful one:
- Deja checo. Let me check and I'll get back to you. Déjame comprobarlo.
- Deja meo. Give me a chance to take a piss first and then I'll be ready to go. (from mear, urinate, profane)
- Deja lo hago. Give me a chance to do that. I'll be right back. (in chat)
As you can see, both verbs are conjugated, the first in second-person imperative, and the second in first-person present indicative. Like Hable y hable, this construction is a bit informal and is probably best limited to speech or informal writing such as text messages.
